So I always hear people talking about spicy foods burning on the way out and this has always baffled me because I've never had this problem and I've had some very spicy foods in my lifetime (but I don't eat them on a regular basis either, so it's not just that I'm acclimitized to it our something). I was talking to my sister about it and she didn't know what the fuss was about either. So is this just a genetic defect where we're missing the spicy receptors in our bowels or what?

The last time this happened to me I ate a ton of spicy thai food. Other than that it doesn't happen often. I don't know what's wrong with your family's butts.

Spicy Food

The capsaicin found in spicy foods does more than irritate your tongue; it can also irritate your stomach. When you eat spicy foods, your stomach creates an excessive amount of acid to help digest the irritating food. According to Dr. Frank Jackson, spicy foods can cause diarrhea the morning after you consume them.
